Thane District Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik also filed his nomination as NCP candidate from Belapur in the presence of huge number of supporters

Besides corporators, NCP MLC Manda Mhatre, Mathadi leader Narendra Patil and sitting MP and his elder son Sanjeev Naik also accompanied Naik at Konkan Bhavan. Naik, who has served two terms as MLA would be contesting from Belapur while his younger son Sandeep will contest from Airoli. "We will be victorious in both seats since we have been in the forefront of the development in Navi Mumbai," Ganesh Naik said.
On the same day, Sandeep Naik, the Standing Committee chief of NMMC filed the nomination from Airoli constituency at Saraswati Vidyalaya, Airoli as NCP candidate. "Mathadi leader Narendra Patil, MLC Manda Mhatre, corporators and people from all caste and religions accompanied me. I would request to exercise their franchise in the favour of the right candidate," Sandeep added. Nerul-based Mahesh Khare and Seawoods-based Sukumar Killedar also filed their nomination papers onThursday.
